Our client, a leader in the insurance industry is looking for 2 Sr. Project Manager who have experience overseeing business transformation initiatives. This will be a 6 month contract to start.



Job Description
We are seeking 2 Senior Project Managers to join our team. Reporting to the Program Manager of the Business Program Management Office (BPMO), you will be a critical member of the team and responsible for delivery of critical business projects that support our transformational portfolio and growth.

• Manage complex projects from initiation to closure while leveraging best practices towards all aspects of project delivery

• Develop detailed project plans that effectively align scope, time, cost, quality, resources, risk and communication in a manner that enables highly coordinated execution and control

• Effectively manage risks/issues and escalate as required leading to prompt decision making and change as appropriate

• Provide clear direction to project working group and ensure scope and deliverables are well understood

• Act as the primary liaison between internal business and technology stakeholders as well as external vendors

• Manage stakeholder relations to ensure that expectations are specified and met

• Showcase project leadership and facilitation skills to coordinate and direct effective meetings and workshops as required

• Sound knowledge of project management tools, techniques and methodologies

• Excellent problem solving, decision making and organizational skills

• Detailed and result oriented with ability to act with urgency

• Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills

• Effective relationship skills with demonstrated ability to influence others successfully

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills demonstrated at all levels with clarity and precision (verbal & written)

• Independent with the ability to operate in an unstructured environment


• University Degree or equivalent in work experience

• PMP certifications considered an asset

• 10+ years’ experience as a Business Project Manager (The ideal person has worked on projects around controlling operational risk)

• 5 years’ insurance industry experience (nice to have)

• Experience delivering business transformation initiatives in a complex organizational structure

• Consulting background considered a strong asset
