Our client is a technology solution provider that serves business and government clients across Canada, with offices in Ottawa and Toronto. The Solution Consultant is a key member of company's Professional Services team.

Along with the Professional Services Management team, the Solution Consultant provides TeraMach its greatest asset and value-add: its Solutions and Technical expertise.

With deep subject-matter expertise, the Solution Consultant delivers on PS engagements and supports pre-sales opportunities. The Solution Consultant supports the Sales team by developing and aligning technical customer requirements to hardware, software or professional services solutions by providing Product-specific analysis and insights resulting in recommendations.

Being the primary delivery resource on implementation engagements, the Solution Consultant is responsible for maintaining high levels of technical competency and relevant technical certifications to ensure delivery is aligned to both the company's delivery framework as well as Vendor-driven best practices.

Under minimal supervision, your main responsibility as a Solutions Architect will be to sell and architect digital transformation and IT modernization technologies using market leading automation, orchestration compute, storage, virtualized solutions from our primary partners such as VMware, HP, Hitachi, Cisco, Dell EMC, Pure, AWS, Microsoft. You will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of professional services activities including proposal development, proof-of-concept construction, demonstrations, roadmaps, and architectural design sessions. You will have a deep understanding of various IaaS/PaaS services and reference architecture. You should be able to work at a client's site in collaboration with client team members and be motivated, ambitious, and focused on consulting around data center solutions and services. You will also be responsible for the design of services engagements in areas such as:

•Virtualization technologies primarily VMware
•Strong HCI experience with any of VxRail, HyperFlex, HCI or Nutanix.
•Strong virtualization experience with VMware (ESX 6.5, VRNI, VROPS)
•Storage (Block\File\Object\Cloud - DellEMC, Pure, NetApp, Cloudian, Swift, AWS, Azure)
•HyperConverged (Cisco HyperFlex, NetApp, VxRail)
•Compute (Dell, Cisco UCS, HP)
•Automation (Cisco, VMware, Turbonomic, custom scripting)
•Back-up and Recovery (Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity)
•Position yourself as a trusted advisor to clients, and partner with them to understand their requirements for business needs.
•Provide recommendations to clients with respect to solutions and strategies
•Create functional design specifications, reference architectures, and assist with other project deliverables as needed.
•Design state-of-the-art technical solutions that address customer's requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
•Staying up-to-date on all technical developments related to Data Center technologies.
•Interact with Sales, Clients and vendors to develop solutions
•If required, perform client assessments in support of design, implementations and on-going support
•Provide consultation on fundamental security & isolation methodologies and features
•5+ years of designing and implementing complex Data Center solutions
•Previous, demonstrated experience migrating an on premise to on-premise environments or on-premise to any cloud environment
•Basic networking features & constraints including VPN, Direct Connect, Subnetting, Routing, etc.
•Strong Storage Experience with any of Cisco, DellEMC, NetApp, Hitachi and Pure (Other storage vendors a plus)
•Proven design, planning and implementation experience with compute
•Strong experience with Migration and Hybrid Migration projects and programs
•Moderate Network, firewall configuration and router troubleshooting experience
•Working knowledge of most relevant operating systems (Windows Server, RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.)
•Prior experience working for a system integrator or consulting organization preferred, but not required
•Basic knowledge of automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
•Basic knowledge of container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) a plus

VMware VCP, VMware NSX, VMware vSAN, VMware SRM, vRNI certifications are good to have for this role. Cisco CCNA or CCNP is an asset along with Microsoft Hypervisor and other Storage and backup technologies.
