Our client in Waterloo is looking for a Sr. System Analyst to join their team permanently.

As a Sr. System Analyst, you will be an integral part of the team working with other system analysts to translate system requirements into system design. You will assist in creating design docs for the team, running daily stand up's to PM's, interacting with SR. IT staff as well as JR-SR system Analysts as well as providing direction to developers as well as Sr. System Analyst when needed. You will also be responsible for selecting and procuring services and software from vendors, configuring 'off the shelf' solutions including interactions with vendors, as well as support project members through the development and implementation stage of the projects.
You will also provide leadership, mentoring and coaching to other development team members when necessary.

- 5 years of System Analyst experience or similar job function
- 3-5 years experience with System Design. - ideally someone with strong design experience!
- 3-5 years of Oracle Experience ideal
- Experience with 'Off the shelf' solutions - specifically configuring
- Experience with Agile and Scrum working environment as well as some Waterfall experience
- 4+ years experience with data modelling
- Experience coaching, leading or mentoring required
- Understanding of ITIL and/or software Development best practices and processes required.
- Full understanding of relational database concepts - experience with Oracle preferred!
- Full understanding of multiple SDLC's (waterfall, agile etc.)
- Experience working with vendors, project teams, developers, stakeholders..etc.
- Retail experience an asset
- Warehouse Management System experience nice to have
- Post-secondary education in programming or systems analysis (diploma or degree preferred
- Retail or distribution experience a bonus
