Staff Accountant:

Our client downtown is hiring for a Staff Accountant . The ideal candidate will have a Public Accounting or Real Estate background (Not a must). This is a rapidly growing firm with excellent benefits and they offer great work life balance. The company will mentor and train top talent, hence why this role is open due to a promotion.

Qualifications
Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of financial statements, bank reconciliations, AR and AP subsidiary to General Ledger tie out for assigned entities
• Oversee Accounts Receivable process and Accounts Payable for check processing
• Prepare monthly and year-end workpapers for key balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Prepare quarterly financial reports requested by various lenders
• Assist with annual Budget preparation
• Special projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 1-2 years of public accounting experience would be an asset
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills are required
• Ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
• Strong Excel skills
