The stationary engine mechanic must be curious, resourceful and constantly willing to learn. He/she is the reference person who ensures that the machines and equipment are in good working order and takes care of repairs and preventive maintenance.
The stationary engine mechanic is essential to the smooth operation of production machinery. They make sure that everything runs according to our high quality standards. They must be efficient and quick in the maintenance and repair of the machinery.
Working as a stationary engine mechanic for our Montreal North company will allow you to balance your family life with your personal activities since the schedule is flexible.
The schedule is daytime, Monday to Friday. You can arrive at the job site between 5:30 am and 8 am. And it's an 8-hour shift per day.
It is also possible to work overtime on evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities
What is expected of the stationary engine mechanic:
- Monitor, inspect, ensure proper operation of equipment;
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance;
- Research the cause of problems, take corrective action and make repairs to prevent equipment or system failures;
- Ensure that his actions support the manufacture of products with the criteria of quality and food safety defined by the company;
- Perform mechanical and plumbing tasks to maintain the operation of equipment;
- Responsible for the proper functioning of the wastewater treatment system (see Appendix "A");
- Maintain daily logs of operational, safety and maintenance activities and write reports regarding the operation of equipment.
Qualifications
The stationary engine mechanic must have these skills and training
- DEP Stationary Engine Mechanics;
- Possess a certificate of qualification in stationary engineering - Class 4 or in the process of obtaining it;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance planning software, Interal an asset;
- Experience in the food industry is an asset;
- Ability to perform manual tasks;
- Ability to perform physical efforts;
- Knowledge of WHMIS and ability to work with chemical products;
- Bilingual (French/English) English proficiency required;
- Possess a forklift license.
