We are looking for Yard Workers / General Laborer to work in a used auto parts yard and warehouse. The steel manufacturing facility transforms recycled scrap metal into quality finished steel products such as reinforcing bar (rebar), wire rod, coiled bar, merchant bar, and other specialty products.

This position will make a great fit for you if you excel at working independently. What you need to know:
- You will be sorting non-ferrous metals for the majority of your shift
- Working in the elements. Some work inside.
- Equipment On-Site: Shredder, forklifts, skid steers, loaders, scrap handlers, mobile and stationary shears, car crusher,
rock trucks, vacuum truck, nonferrous baler
- Location is a 20-minute walk from Scott Road Station. A vehicle would be an asset
- You will be expected to work with a team of 7-10.
- This is a job for the 'Handy' type of person. Get ready to get your hands dirty and cancel your gym membership as you
will get a decent workout here.
- Lifting Requirments: Up to 30 lbs. Occasional Lifting.

Qualifications
- 1 year of experience/exposure to the automotive industry
- You are capable and comfortable with utilizing hand tools
- You are mechanically inclined and have experience in the same or similar field
- Adaptability & sense of urgency
- Good attitude and can work well with no supervision
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- You are comfortable working outdoors
- You are looking for a consistent position where you can work to advance within the role
- A vehicle would be an asset as this location is not transit friendly
- This is a short term assignment, we are looking for candidates to commit to a minimum of 3 weeks
