SUMMARY OF YOUR ROLE AS A STOCKKEEPER-MECHANIC :
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the stockkeeper-mechanic is responsible for the management of parts and materials required for plant operations, maintaining and controlling the inventory of parts in the warehouse. He will also support the maintenance department in the preparation of work or equipment repairs.

Responsibilities
The Stockkeeper – Mechanic is responsible for:
Parts inventory:
- Keep a weekly update of the parts in store - cyclical inventory;
- Make the monthly report of the inventory value and send it to his immediate superior;
- Create physical locations for storage of new parts;
- Organize parts for maintenance shutdowns;
- Assist the maintenance supervisor in managing parts in inventory for maintenance and prepare standard parts (bearing, seal, grease etc.).
Receive parts:
- Verify accuracy and perform order receiving;
- Place parts in the warehouse and maintain the order of the parts inventory;
- Receive parts with our CMMS software 'INTERAL';
- Support the buyer in the management of parts to be shipped.
Support to operations:
- Provide parts to employees as needed to speed up the execution of work;
- Search for new parts in the books/internet/suppliers, as needed;
- Search for new suppliers as needed;
- Prepare parts sets for service;
- Assemble and service equipment in the shop;
- Support the maintenance team on all types of work in the plant.
- Perform any other related tasks that may fall under this job.

Qualifications
SQF/HACCP Requirements:
- Ensures that the actions of the position support the manufacture of products within the quality and food safety criteria defined by the company;
- Ensure compliance with SQF food safety code requirements and report any food safety issues to authorized personnel.
Education-Skills and experience required:
- DEP in industrial mechanics, electromechanics or DEC in electrical engineering or mechanics;
- 0 to 2 years experience;
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the maintenance planning software, Interal an asset;
- Knowledge of WHMIS and ability to work with chemicals;
- Understanding of terms related to the identification of mechanical and electrical parts;
- A developed sense of autonomy, ability to manage his own time;
- Enjoys challenges, attention to detail and able to work under pressure;
- Bilingual (French/English) strongly desired, fluency in English required.
