Your challenge!
Can you knock on doors and find your way through the decision makers in big corporations? We are looking for a fearless Strategic Buyer, Business-to-Business, who knows how to stay on track with the objectives and persevere through challenges and setbacks. The Strategic Buyer's role is to develop and manage the supply coming from targeted accounts which could require special vendor management processes in order to consolidate the information and provide such customers with a tailor-made service approach. You implement negotiated commercial agreements and advise your business partners on strategic corporate purchasing. Finally, you establish strong and lasting partnerships with current and potential suppliers to effectively meet your service needs and Cascades' customer requirements. This position is 75% hunting and requires North East USA travel.
Your responsibilities

- Finds new Regional Key Accounts focusing on the Retail Business Sector and/or taking Cascades Recovery+ active accounts that operate in more than one geography and locking in additional sites through corporate development
- Manages all Regional Key Accounts assigned with a strong focus on relationships/contract management
- Ensures that all best practices are deployed in their account to ensure customer satisfaction
- Attend and present monthly/quarterly updates, service standard through reporting and performance dashboard
- Works with the Regional Manager to develop and implement the sales and business development strategy and set established targets
- Ensures regular communication and coordination of activities between the Supply Development in the different regions to insure consistency and standardized service
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the Company’s business within each market area, including but not limited to, existing accounts, account opportunities, competitors, and the materials recovered and their volume
Your background and strengths
- College/University training in Business Administration/Marketing or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales position and/or account management experience (B2B)
- Proven experience to connect with businesses through while leveraging sourcing tools such as LinkedIn and CRMs
- Knowledge of the Waste and Recycling Industry would be a definite asset
- Ability to make effective presentations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Can identify and effectively negotiate business opportunities
- Strong working knowledge of sales techniques and tactics
