We are recruiting for a Production Leader to work in Barrie on a day shift
Hours of work 7:00-3:00 Monday - Friday
Salary $62 -$65 k with 100% paid benefits and pension - overtime after 40 hours

Accountable for the health and safety of employees and ensuring compliance with all established Health & Safety rules/regulations and the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Accountable for manufacturing metrics for their shift.
Manage shop floor performance and complete shift performance excel reports
Conduct required audits as necessary – SOP, safety, 5S, Process, etc…
Conduct regular employee communication meetings on shift.
Track training for all hourly employees on shift

Responsibilities
Effectively communicate departmentally and plant-wide goals to employees in a
productive manner.
Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types,
quantities, specifications of products, and scheduled delivery dates in order to plan
department operations.
Plan production operations, while establishing priorities and sequencing for
manufacturing products.
Reviews production scrap and operating reports and resolves operational,
manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent
operational delays.
Ensure that Machine operators, inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific
Qualifications
2 plus years of experience supervising in a unionized manufacturing environment
Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Strong communication skills – written and spoke
A high-speed, continuous process manufacturing environment is an asset
