    We are seeking a Supply Chain coordinator for a contract opportunity with a well established high tech manufacturing client of ours in the Vancouver area. . The position engagement term is 3 months, with a possibility of extension. This position will be assisting with purchasing and system data management tasks in line with specific project delivery targets. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills and is familiar with one or more areas of Supply Chain (Procurement, Sourcing, Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Systems and Data Management), with a keen attention to detail.

    Responsibilities
    • Create and update part numbers and descriptions within ERP system.
    • Enter and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), material item master and supplier accounts within ERP system
    • Contact suppliers to collect material pricing quotations and compile responses
    • Negotiate with suppliers towards cost reduction targets achievement
    • Engage suppliers for material Lead Time checks and updates
    • Collect supplier delivery status updates and expedite deliveries
    • Source suppliers as required
    • Support the supplier record creation process as required
    • Ensure data accuracy, review reports, and highlight / correct discrepancies
    • Conduct ad hoc analyses to investigate project-related and/or operational issues
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications
    • 2 or more years experience in the areas of Procurement/Supply Chain/Logistics/Materials Management/Business or Finance
    • 2 or more years experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred
    • Intermediate competency level in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
    • Experience compiling and evaluating data models

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of electronics and manufacturing procurement
    • SCM certification (such as SCMA, APICS, PLog, CPM, CPP)
    • Experience with Requests For Quotations, sourcing, and/or inventory management
