Responsibilities
•Oversees the day-to-day activities for the Purchasing, Receiving, and Shipping team. Leading the team.
•Leads the S&OP activities for Brampton’s Legacy- and new business units, identifying and incorporating business opportunities into the forecast.
•Develop and measure key performance indicators to determine and improve the effectiveness of all reporting functions.
•Drive organization of inventory in the plant and at 3rd party warehouse(s), improving visual management, accuracy, and efficiency.
•Continuously push the team to do better than yesterday by implementation of small- and strategic initiatives.
•Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to all reporting functions for upper management.
•Participate and implement strategies to deliver financial goals for the organization (i.e. inventory carry, inventory turns, indirect cost management, etc.).
•Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders across the plant, business and partners.
•Understand customer service expectations and how they translate into an inventory strategy that achieves on time fill rate requirements.
•Review and drive continuous improvement in lead time and supplier reliability in order to reduce safety stock requirements.
•Identify and drive opportunities for pruning and optimizing inventory in order to effectively manage surplus and obsolete stock.
•Demonstrate a high commitment to Customer Service excellence and ensure team is taking action to expedite and resolve supplier issues.
•Ensures team understands impact of A/P to PO variances and works with business partners to resolve.
•Monitor and take appropriate action for teams’ Fill Rate, Supplier Service Level performance and ensure timely expedite of open PO’s.
Qualifications
•University/College Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant
•10+ years demonstrated experience in progressive Supply Chain Management roles
•Strong Analytical and Hands-on Problem-Solving capabilities
•Builds strong cross-functional relationships and effectively collaborates across the organization
•Strong Communicator with ability to synthesis ideas down to clear and concise messaging for the audience.
•Able to work in a global organization to deliver business results
•Ability to implement best practice and drive continuous improvement
•Jointly Attracts, Develops and Retains Supply Chain talent
•Demand planning/forecasting experience
•Experience in managing Inventory Replenishment and/or Purchasing activities
•Experience implementing & driving S&OP activities.
•Experience managing Receiving and Shipping functions.
