Responsibilities
As a Supply Chain Manager, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
● Ensuring zero stock outs
● Utilize historical usage and forecast data to determine appropriate purchasing strategy for parts
● Leveraging long term purchasing agreements and alternate suppliers to minimize part costs
● Supporting other supply chain activities
● Ensure accuracy of purchase order data
● Maintain procurement plans in the ERP system
● Actively strengthen the relationships with key suppliers
● Establish regular meetings with clients and negotiate agreements
● Manage inventory valuation, adjust purchasing strategies, report and communicate current and projected inventory value
Qualifications
As a Supply Chain Manager, you must qualify the following:
● Ability to extract from historical usage data to inform purchasing volumes and strategy
● Advanced software knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
● Adept knowledge in navigating the ERP systems
● Ability to seek and bring suppliers around to the company
● Skilled with objection management
● Excellent at developing strong relationship with key clients
● Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle conflicting interest
● Knowledgeable in supply chain best practices and what strategies apply to different situations
