Responsibilities
• The Vendor Allocation Lead works with cross-functional partners to understand business drivers and key inputs to
develop a vendor allocation plan that delivers the seasonal sourcing strategy.
Key responsibilities of the role are to:
• Manage seasonal style allocations in collaboration with FG Sourcing Category managers, communicate forecasts
to vendors and secure forecasted based on business needs
• Provide strategic direction to Supply Planning team to manage forecast fluctuations at key GTM calendar gates to ensure alignment to strategy.
• Strategize and guide allocation to core flex hubs. Identify and evaluate vendor base to support the need of hubs
• Establish capacity models to support Chase and Fast Turn initiatives and collaborate with cross functional partners to allocate with vendors.
• Set and manage capacity types along with PD and translate allocations to capacity types.
• Optimize Initial Allocations at a Class and Capacity Type to execute against vendor and geographic strategy.
• Allocate to optimize localization strategies across Tier 1 & Tier 2 suppliers.
• Evaluate and make recommendations for multi sourcing ecosystem to mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity.
• Participate in monthly demand plan meetings to understand Global Merchandise Planning strategies and key updates to influence allocation strategy.
• Monitor multi-year strategy against a seasonal allocation roadmap, create an agile approach to reform as needed
• Participate In bi-annual Vendor Review
• Collaborate with various cross functional partners - Global Planning, Supply Planning, Sourcing and in-Region Sourcing, PD, LLO Production and Quality teams to evaluate strategies for allocations.
Qualifications
• Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Well adept in Excel
• 3-5 years' experience working in apparel sourcing, supply planning
• Understanding of the apparel supply chain and experience of working with offshore manufacturers
• Able to effectively manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with a variety of cross functional partners
