Supply Chain Specialist

What you’ll be doing:
•Update daily Syteline Workbench reports
•Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO’s) according to the products routing/master requirement per the production schedule and customer request delivery
•Monitor the progress of PO's via daily and weekly communication with suppliers, obtaining status updates, and taking action ensuring quality/delivery targets are achieved
•Analyze processes, identifying and recommending improvement opportunities, creating proposals for executive review and approval
•Work and support the procurement team in new supplier development to improve overall supplier capabilities, in support of new product and program development
•Maintain the AVL (Approved Vendor List) and Supplier Scorecards
•Track supplier performance focusing on on-time delivery and Supplier NCR (receiving and manufacturing)
•Initiate annual purchasing cost-saving plans-Update the weekly PPV (Purchasing Price Variance) report and take action to meet the cost-saving targets
•Facilitate engineering changes and other projects to enable savings and/or sourcing flexibility.

Do you have the right qualifications?
•Proven success in relevant supply chain, purchasing, and logistics roles, working with both North American and international suppliers (at least five years)
•Must have proven experience in the successful negotiation of pricing and delivery
•Knowledge and experience with raw steel and aluminum
•Knowledge and experience with machining processes is strongly preferred
•Ability to read and evaluate engineering drawings and specifications
•Knowledge and experience in market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices
•Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Excel, and MRP/ERP systems
•A post-secondary degree in a technical/engineering, mechanical engineering is preferred.
