POSITION SUMMARY
The Demand and Supply Planner is a vector of communication between Sales, Procurement and Operations.
The goal of the Demand & Supply Planner is to anticipate and maintain stock levels to ensure the business runs smoothly at all levels. In other words, to optimize the production plan, procurement plan and services levels.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Regularly review and manage the inventory level and product availability of products, creating parameters to meet the operational needs of the supply chain for both planned, current and future stock requirements.
• Driving ad-hoc analysis on stock levels and monitoring overall completed production to plan production.
• Responsible for advising on the adjustment of the replenishment plan by defining priorities and necessary action, both in case of shortage and overstock.
• Ensures detailed follow-up of the replenishment plan for regular products, product launches, promotions, and discontinued product, and communicate any issues (stock shortfalls/overages).
• Tracks all movement of stock, and analyze KPI data to monitor performance.
• Manages product segmentation and statistical models and Produces consensus demand plan.
• Analyze data history and run statistical forecast models based on trend, seasonality, and other patterns.
• Develop a rolling 6-to-24-month demand plan.
• Work with the sales team to analyze market information and develop detailed forecasts (historical data, seasonality, market trends, special offers).
• Work with the production and procurement team to identify constraints, to define inventory levels and service levels required.
• Improve forecast accuracy with changes to process and solution.
• Communicate the revised demand plan to management and supply chain (operations, sales, and procurement).
• Align with the financial budget.
• Monitor demand plan consumption with actual sales and resolve demand-related issues.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION
▪ Business Administration Degree or Supply Chain Management Degree and/or Equivalent experience
▪ Minimum 5 years of related business experience.
▪ Valid Driver’s License (Up to 10% travel to other locations for meetings)
LANGUAGES REQUIRED
▪ Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
▪ Proficiency in French, an asset
CORE COMPETENCIES
▪ Proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
▪ Ideal candidate would have experience in S&OP, specifically demand planning.
▪ Problem-solving, prioritization and conflict-resolution skills.
▪ Strong decision-making and presentation skills.
▪ Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
▪ Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude even in adverse situations.
▪ Excellent Customer service skills and the ability to anticipate customer needs.
▪ Advanced Computer skills (Microsoft Office), knowledge of SAP and IBP systems.
▪ Extensive product knowledge in the outdoor building materials industry (lumber) is an asset.
