Contract Position

Our client, a large Pipeline / Oil and Gas organization is looking to hire a Technical Records Quality Analyst to join their team in Edmonton, Alberta.

Do you have experience working for the Oil and Gas industry, with excellent experience managing technical records related to engineering? We are looking for a subject matter expert who is detail oriented, has great organizational skills and can work in a fast phase environment. APPLY NOW!


• This position is accountable for supporting Technical Records in a records auditing capacity during the various stages of project turnover and transfer of asset ownership to Technical Records department
• Job includes performing electronic and physical document reviews to ensure compliance to company specifications and standards, precise status and metric reporting, document migration and records management, and providing database expertise
• Take in technical records turnover records from project teams (health checks)
• Audits, review to make sure accurate, complete and put into database for records
• Performing electronic record checks and make sure of its legibility
• Ensure that all required metadata has been collected in the records and can be retrieved
• Use Sharepoint to track status
• Interface interaction - finding deficiencies in records

Must Have Qualifications:

• 4 to 7 years of experience
• Experience in the industry at some capacity (Technical Records QA, Document Control, or engineer)
• Experience working with Hydro test records, welding records, and vendor records
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Someone who understands traceability of documents
• Good communication, organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sharepoint
• Tech savvy

Working Conditions

• Office environment with occasional travel to site
