Grow and nurture existing relationships with our clients
Present our products to engineers, architects, and consultants involved in projects
Generate specifications for our products
Provide product knowledge training to reps at distributors
Provide technical to contractors, dealers, applicators and distributors
Engage with contractors when our products have been specified to explain the "why"
Be on work site to troubleshoot
Track and follow all jobs
Provide update to management team
Qualifications
10+ years technical sales in concrete construction industry, preferably in construction chemicals
Complex sales decision processes (owners, specifiers, contractors, concrete producers)
Multiple channel sales (distributors, dealers, ready-mix and precast concrete)
Civil Engineering Degree preferred
Successful and productive use of CRM software
Use of construction lead service programs (Dodge, Builders Exchange)
Use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Key account sales
The successful candidate should demonstrate the following abilities:
Proven value engineering sales ability
Achievement of ambitious sales targets
People skills and long term relationships in the industry
Self-motivation
Empathetic sales style
Summary
Development vs Maintenance: 50% working on specifications and 50% working with contractors/distributors
Road vs Office: 70% vs 30%
Languages: English (written & spoken)
Education: College degree or equivalent experience, civil engineering an asset
Training: On the job training
Overnight Travel: Less than 20% overnight travel
Years of experience: 10+ years of technical sales required
Other requirements: You understand the construction industry
