Looking for 2 set up Technicians who are looking to advance from their current role to a leader

We are currently seeking 2 Team Leaders (Supervisors) -One for afternoon and one for nights

2 shifts to join the new and dynamic team in Barrie as part of the Manufacturing and Production Team!

two shifts open for immediate interview and hire- work Monday-Friday

day shift 7:00 am-4:00 pm, afternoon 3:00-pm-12:00 am and night shift 11:00 pm -8:00 am

Salary based on your background and experience $75,000-$80,000 + benefits

Must have knowledge of all aspects of plastic injection molding methods, processes, and procedures

if you are a Setup Technician or Process Technician and want to move into a supervisory role then this career opportunity if for you

- Course work related to Injection Molding an asset
- 3-5 Years minimum experience in injection molding

Special Requirements :
- Working in clean room requires wearing overshoes, laboratory coat and hair net/hat. Other restrictions
no jewellery, no make-up, or perfumes

Ensure a clean and safe work environment
- Supervises the work of employees in work unit
- Ensure that all employees adhere to all company safety rules and policies on your shift
- Train new employees on safe methods of conducting their job as per SWI
- Follow and enforce all work cell and/or department standardized work instructions/procedures
- Ensure completion of daily safety inspection check sheets by operators
- Provide ongoing instruction to employees with regards to quality standards
- Ensure that all production, scrap, and SPC is reported accurately
- Ensure completion of first and last off product inspections
- Continuously improve productivity through the process, and people
- Assist Operations Manager to develop a system for continuous improvement
- Ensure employees are aware of and follow company rules, policies and expectations
- Performance management of team and appraisals at set frequency
- Prepare all required pre-mold change activities
- Responsible for all technical aspects of mold change, including setting and verifying parameters,
organizing work areas, quality problems and troubleshooting quality concerns
- Responsible for part quality and has the authority to stop production, if necessary, to correct
quality problems
- Initiate machine process, make adjustments within process tolerance and recommend any
changes for improved efficiencies
- Continually monitor all processes related to Injection Molding
- Analyze and resolve any process problems. Resolve any product non-conformity issues that
may arise
- Assist with cross training of team members and the orientation/training of new team members
- Creation and maintenance of operator training matrix
- Completion of daily shift reports, pre shift meetings and layered process audits

Qualifications
- Minimum grade 12 education or equivalent
- experience in Injection Mold Manufacturing or in medical manufacturing Industry
- Course work related to Injection Molding an asset Set up Tech or Process technician willing to learn to move into a supervisory role
-3-4Years minimum experience in injection molding
- Must possess leadership and interpersonal skills and be able to relay instructions clearly
- Good communication, organizational, time management skills
- The ability to write technical reports
- Physically able to perform mold changes and other job duties
- Perform, direct and carry out other reasonable requests made by senior management
- Must be able to motivate, inspire, and mentor people to realize goals
- Experience developing and writing work instructions an asset
- Good knowledge of SPC, (Statistical Process Control)
