Responsibilities
- Plan the drivers' routes;
- Assign drivers to their trips;
- Optimize operations during the day and manage assignment changes;
- Take phone or email orders from customers;
- Ensure that drivers respect their driving hours;
- Take into account the urgent nature of certain orders;
- Ensure compliance with transportation standards;
- Validate the availability and condition of trucks and trailers;
- Ensure the proper preparation of transport documents and routes;
- Communicate all useful information to the drivers.
Qualifications
- DEC in transportation logistics or dispatch or relevant experience in a similar position;
- Bilingualism in French and English essential;
- Organizational skills and ability to adapt to change;
- Communication and listening skills;
- Ability to plan and be proactive;
- Disposition for teamwork and collaboration;
- Knowledge of the road network;
- Familiar with the Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
