Responsibilities
• Work with builders and contractors to present and promote our products; establish a positive working relationship and enhance market position.
• Support the retailers’ network (Rona, Home Hardware, Castle Building, Timber Mart)
• Present and promote the products to retailers (Lumber Yards, Big Box, etc.), architects, consultants, and government officials to achieve product recognition and enhance market position
• Have thorough product knowledge in order to communicate and demonstrate technical proficiency
• Co-ordinate and co-operate with all in-house departments to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance
• Attend and/or participate in annual trade shows and seminars as well as various internal meetings and events
• Be a member of and participate in appropriate industry organizations and interest groups
• Be knowledgeable of competitive products and system
Qualifications
• Knowledge of the Lumber and Building Material industry
• Experience managing dealer relationships is a must!
• Big box retailers experience an asset – Home Hardware, Timber Mart, Lowes, etc.
• Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and specifications an asset * Need to be self-motivated and well organized
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to navigate and utilize Customer Relationship Management software
• Persistent, ambitious, and have a strong drive for success with proven sales results
