Our client, a research and development organization focused on agricultural and industrial technology is looking to hire three (3) Test Engineers / Agronomist.

Job Summary

The incumbent will provide engineering support to a field test program. This role will utilize agricultural and engineering knowledge to collect and evaluate information specific to agricultural machinery performance.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide specialized engineering expertise and support in the field
• Communicate issues through detailed online reporting systems
• Apply knowledge of precision agriculture, prescriptions, telematics, data management, and cloud systems
• Assist in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions
• Operate computerized service tools and collect data for analysis
• Provide daily reports and present findings in a daily conference call
• Utilize farm equipment knowledge in the provision of engineering services and in the operation of farm equipment for short intervals when required for testing and application purposes
• Direct communication with the tractor operator to look for any small issues that can be corrected prior to product release
• The candidate will attend specific training operational meetings in preparation for the provision of services

Working Conditions

• Services will be provided at test field sites in Saskatchewan and various places in the United States, travel is REQUIRED. Candidates must have a valid passport and ability to travel to the US
• Regular rotational shifts, approximately 3 weeks on, 1 week off


Experience and Education

• Degree in Engineering or Agriculture
• Knowledge of troubleshooting tractors used in farming or related industries
• Proficient in computer and its applications

Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of precision agriculture, prescriptions, telematics, data management, and cloud systems is an asset
• Dedicated, possessing excellent skills in project development and relationship building
• You are detail oriented, organized and capable of handling changing priorities, handling confidential information with a high level of integrity and can work under pressure
• Strong communication (both written and verbal, integrity and customer service skills)
