Responsibilities
-Communicate with SMEs to understand and interpret testing data and functional specifications regarding material, physical properties, optical, mechanical characteristics
-Familiar with mechanical, physical, optical, and electrical test methods,
-Communicate with suppliers to collect and analyze product data and certification such as raw material certification and other relevant evidence to show proof that products meet specific criteria or standards
-Collaboration with R&D and RA to identify testing requirements (sample size, typical sample selection, statistical data analysis, etc.)
-Create protocols in accordance with China standards and applicable procedures
-Coordinate obtaining, receipt and disposition of test samples
-Manage the technical conduct of the test
-Collaborate with RA and China team to work with China test vendors if testing is outsourced to China test lab
-Create a test report/ adoption records/ DHD files when adoption is applicable
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in mechanical, biomedical, or biomechanical engineering with 5+ years related experience
-Mechanical/electrical problem solving skills
-Analytical skills
-Initiative, dependability, independent, detail oriented
Preferred skills
-Test engineering experience in a regulated industry
-Ability to build collaborative relationships quickly (internally and externally)
-Strong technical writing skills in English and Mandarin
-Experience with CAD (Solidworks, Creo)
-Automation experience
-Familiarity with common mechanical test methods and equipment
