You will be responsible for managing employees in the Procurement and Inventory Control departments; working with other Production Group Managers, as well as Operations Management in developing and maintaining goals and KPI’s; implementing processes related to these functions; developing a culture of continuous improvement; and ensuring all safety requirements are met.AdvantagesPermanent OpportunityCompetitive salaryRRSPVacationCareer growth opportunities Responsibilities•Lead departmental personnel in the execution of daily plans with a focus on maximizing the customer experience – both internal and external;•Maintain and develop the necessary procurement and inventory planning, control and reporting processes to ensure optimized supply chain management objectives are achieved;•Manage all receiving, storage, order picking and material handling processes;•Develop world-class supply chain channels with all key suppliers with a particular focus on off-shore/long-lead time channels; •Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers•Leverage relevant KPIs to monitor the department and team performance and to hold them accountable; •Strong knowledge of US cross-border logistics and customs processes and applicable paperwork;•In conjunction with Operations Management Team, develop and adhere to operational and inventory expenditure budgets;•Drive a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement;•Lead quarterly inventory count planning, preparation and execution;•Provide on-time availability of items through effective ordering and vendor management techniques;•Actively engage in and lead the collaborative forecasting and planning processes necessary to prevent stock-outs in Production lines;•Collaborate with internal business partners in managing product life cycle within the supply chain;•Willing to roll-up your sleeves, work alongside the team and lead by example;•Other duties as assigned.Qualifications•Post-secondary degree in Procurement / Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations or similar with proven experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement Management and Inventory Management roles; •A prior track record of success developing sustainable processes and policies to maintain organization, consistency, predictability and visibility within the relevant environment;•Excellent SCM process optimization abilities;•Superior negotiating and remediation skills;•In-depth knowledge and use of continuous improvement programs such as Lean and Six Sigma;•Strong written, verbal and presentation communications skills;•Exceptional relationship-building acumen;•Solid understanding of motorized material handling equipment management and operations would be considered a valuable asset;•Advanced MS Office applications abilities including Excel and Access + knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or MS Nav + popular warehouse management platforms;•Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer-centric environment.
