Job description:
The tire loading position is a unique positions that involved loading completed tires into the back of trucks to be shipped all around the world! This positions is extremely PHYSICALLY DEMANDING lifting 50+ lbs repetitively, and is quite fast paced. The selected candidates will go through a two-three week training period and will be sertified to operate a forklift. This position, at times, will require the successful candidate to operate a forklift to move pallets of tires throughout a warehouse setting.

-Piecework, wage is based on how many tires are loaded. minimum $200 per day!

-Opportunity for training and certification to operate a forklift at the Bridgewater, NS location.
-Average shift length to complete 4 trailer loads: 8 Hours
-Schedule: Rotational shift schedule - Monday to Sunday (5am, 10am and 1pm start times)
Responsibilities
Tire Loaders work in a team of two, and are responsible for:
• Manually loading tires onto a conveyor belt (4 loads per shift)
• Operating powered industrial vehicles (walkie stacker)
• Accurate recording of data (tire load sheets, shipping logs)
• Off-loading tires from conveyor belt into shipping trailer.
• Operating conveyor belt.
• Keeping loading bay + areas clean
• Inspecting tires loads for quality errors
• Maintaining a safe + clean work environment
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting of up to 50lbs for entire shift- MUST HAVE
• Safety oriented with the ability to comply with all safety regulations
• Eye for detail, ability to spot nonconforming product/quality discrepancies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team based environment
• Comfortable working in a standing position for 8-12 hours + performing repetitive tasks
• Highly motivated
• Reliable
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently
• 2 supervisor references
