Responsibilities
Train, develop, mentor, direct, and discipline employees to ensure a productive,
efficient and competent workforce to achieve New Build targets in a safe work
environment
Organize workload and delegate work in an efficient and professional manner
Strive to get immediate resolution of problem situations
Provide regular feedback and communication to employees formally & informally on
company policies, work procedures, work standards, etc. to ensure adherence to all
policies & procedures at all times
Make recommendations and carry out activities to support continuous improvement
& cost reduction; promote safety, housekeeping and 5S activities and encourage
employees to do the same
Troubleshoot and evaluate root cause of die issues
Read and interpret die drawings, part prints including strong understanding of GD&T
Motivate, teach and coach toolmakers in their work and help to teach apprentices.
Ensure that workers comply with the workplace health and safety rules
Qualifications
- Licensed Tool and Die, maker
- 8+ years of experience in a similar position
- Team-oriented individual willing to take on challenges to coach, lead and develop a team
- Proven experience with Die Maintenance (progressive dies)
- Attention to detail
- Experience in a fast pace environment
