Leader in agriculture insurance seeking for the next Underwriter superstar!

Are you an experienced insurance administrator looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy serving customers while driving an organized and compliant business? Would you like the opportunity to mentor and coach others risk management and the delivery as a successful Underwriter? If you answered yes, we have the perfect permanent opportunity right in front of you here in Guelph!

The responsibilities of Underwriter includes:

- Assist with contract renewals and changes for customers
- Provide decision making when analyzing risk and authority limit exceptions
- Process financial transactions
- Provide email and phone correspondence when handling escalations
- Work hand in hand with the customers, internal stakeholders and third party clients: agencies, producers
- Mentor/coach new underwriting staff with risk assessment and decision making
- Be involved in participating in program initiatives
- Administrative duties (scanning, filing, data entry etc.)

Qualifications
Qualifications of an Underwrier:

- Post Secondary degree: Math, Science, Commerce, Business
- 3-5 years in an Underwriting or risk analyst in insurance or financial services
- MS Office skills: Work, Excel, Outlook
- Customer Service delivery, customer service oriented
- Strong communication skills

Skills as an Underwriter:

- Customer focused
- Problem solving & Conflict resolution
- Detail oriented
- Highly organized
