    Responsibilities
    As an Underwriting Assistant your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    •Reviewing applications to ensure they meet the company’s underwriting guidelines
    •Collect data on prospective customers’ financial status, including income and net worth
    •Calculate premiums based on risk factors such as age and occupation
    •Review insurance claims to ensure they were filed correctly and in a timely manner
    •Communicate with agents or brokers to answer questions about coverage or policies
    •Review applications for coverage to ensure they are complete and accurate
    •Review medical records to determine whether applicants are eligible for certain types of coverage
    •Estimate potential losses for new clients based on previous claims history



    Qualifications
    As a Claims Adjuster your qualifications include, but not limited to:

    •Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, business administration, or other related field
    •Experience working in the insurance industry or as an administrative assistant is an asset
    •Strong attention to detail to ensure the accurate collection of information and entry into databases
    •Stellar communications and interpersonal skills
