Mississauga client requires a User Experience (UX) Designerfor a 6 month contract


Key Skills and Qualifications:

• University or College graduate in Interaction Design, Graphic Design, UX, or related discipline or demonstrate years of professional work experience as a UX Designer
• Superior understanding of UX/UI best practices
• Expert level abilities with design and UX software including Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision
• Senior level work experience: Minimum 5 years of full-time work in UX design or product design in a professional setting. Student projects will not be accepted

• Demonstrated experience and understanding of user-centered design, user testing methodologies, usability, and accessibility standards and practices (WCAG 2.0, 2.1)
• Demonstrated experience designing systems built on HTML, CSS, Javascript and frameworks such as Bootstrap
• Strong communication skills and ability to rationalize designs

The following skills and experiences are an asset:
• Experience working on an Agile team
• Experience working in Government

The candidate will be expected to lead interviewers through their portfolio of work and demonstrate their experience and skills. Portfolios must contain real-world examples. Self-directed or student projects will not be accepted. Preference will be given to candidates with experience designing for eCommerce, transactional or service-oriented websites and applications.
