We are looking for batching operators, who want to join a dynamic chocolate factory in Georgetown, Ontario!Job Summary: Responsible for following the refining schedule, operating a variety of grinders, pumps, valves and other associated refining equipment which produce chocolate paste, including quality checks to meet the specifications of products. Enter daily data entries into SAP and excel work sheets. In addition, holding team members accountable for good housekeeping practices and accurate documentation.Pay Rate – $21.95 per hour plus $1.50 after 3 monthsNights: Sunday-Thursday 10:45pm-7:00amAdvantages- Paid weekly- Working with chocolate- A variety of shifts available depending on preference- Fun and friendly work environment- Plenty of opportunities for growth- Organized facilityResponsibilities- Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs.- Read Batching Schedule and communicate with the Operator from the previous shift to determine the status of the grinding systems (Machinery problems change over status, availability of paste, special operating instructions, quality control issues, etc.)- Monitor grinding systems and quality control parameters and make adjustments to batches as necessary. - Record data as required on Batch sheets, SAP and excel work sheet. - Contact Supervisor, Maintenance personnel, and issue Work Order(s) in the event of any mechanical or electrical issues with related equipment.- Perform changeovers, documenting quality testing as required.- Clean equipment and designated areas, as per the weekly and master cleaning schedules.- Complete magnet and filter cleaning as required.- Use pallet handling equipment to move ingredients and materials as required after provided in-house training is completed. - Maintain all batching and warehouse areas in a neat and clean condition.- Properly account for any product spills/scrap. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Batching Supervisor- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.- Time management, organizational skills, and prioritization are essential to this job description.Qualifications- Must be comfortable performing physical tasks such as walking, crouching and climbing stairs consistently. - Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 55 pounds.- Good vision, depth perception and attention to detail.- Ability to read, and communicate effectively. Must be able to interpret work instructions, formulate plans, and express ideas and concerns effectively to others.- Able to log all incidents and actions taken in a clear and concise method. - Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide 4-digit numbers. - Ability to perform these operations using units of weight (pounds, kilograms), percentages, or fractions. - Ability to apply common-sense and understanding when carrying out multiple-step instructions. - Must be able to work with minimal supervision.- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with high noise levels and hot/cold temperatures.SummaryHow to apply:1.
