The Planning, Warehouse & Internal Logistics (PW&IL) manager is responsible to provide the most efficient and cost-effective RBM Canada site production planning and supply conditions in accordance with commercial forecasts, global planning, provided allocations, and available raw material supply.

Additionally, he/she oversees the operational activities of internal and external warehousing and internal logistics of the site.
The PW&IL manager is the gatekeeper of all site plannings of RBM Canada versus the site sales planning, global planning and site allocations. He/she will follow up closely the site supply chain in terms of cost effectiveness and with a continuous goal to optimize the working capital. Therefore he/she is also responsible to supervise all warehousing & logistics activities in order to optimize overall stock levels in combination with an optimal planning and efficient internal logistics between departments and/or sites. He/she will have a very good understanding of the various site production lines, product flows, warehousing and logistics requirements in order to make the most optimal supply and production planning. As such, the PW&IL Manager is the owner of the PW&IL process for RBM Canada.

Responsibilities
As PW&IL process owner, the PW&IL Manager is responsible for the proper running of the process, analyzing the risks in the process, and ensuring the intended results. In the case of results below assumptions and a negative trend, he/she is responsible for re-analyzing the risk and implementing corrective actions, if justified. To achieve the goals of the process, he can use the resources of which he is the direct manager and the resources of other functional departments within the process.
Site Planning
• Managing and following up site planning and site production allocations in
accordance with the site sales forecast and provided instructions by the RBM Site
manager
• Manages day, month and year planning of raw materials, precursors,
intermediates and finished goods in alignment with respective site sales forecasts,
keeping in mind an economical and efficient supply chain between different site
entities.
• Follows up site planning in alignment with the global planning
• Gate keeper for any deviation of site production vs site planning versus site sales planning and customer allocations and has a mandate to steer production accordingly
• Keeps global Supply Chain manager informed about site production or planning changes that can impact customer needs or internal supply chain
• Is the main contact of the Commercial planner in order to have a good alignment between site customer needs and production planning and always keep RBM Supply Chain manager in copy
• Is the main contact with Supply planner in order to have a good alignment between site production needs and raw material supply and always keep RBM Supply

• Manages regular meetings between various operational teams (production, AM, SS, W&IL) in order to provide the most optimal planning
• Manages regular meetings with Process Technology team in order to integrate requests for testing, qualification or industrialization in the most optimal way in terms of line availability, supply of raw materials and keeping overall customer needs in check
• Manages all intra site planning & flows
• Follows up site inventories in order to steer and optimize the overall planning and site planning in view of optimizing working capital and security of supply
• Provides reports as requested by Site Managing Director or RBM Operational Excellence manager on weekly, monthly or ad-hoc base

Warehouse & Internal Logistics
• Responsible for the site’s W&IL workforce, optimally organize the workforce, assuring development including On-the-Job training, taking initiatives for retention and people satisfaction
• Responsible for the total warehousing operational cost (site and external). Define the yearly budgets for OPEX and CAPEX of the warehouse department, prepare for necessary investments and follow and optimize the total warehousing and internal logistic cost
• Supervising W&IL operations and the department by setting, following up and communicating objectives and KPI’s in line with ROCE.
• Supervising the EHS strategy within W&IL by taking the lead to continuously
improve the warehouse and internal logistics department’s safety performance.

• The PW&IL manager reports hierarchically to the Site Managing Director
b. Supervision:
• The PW&IL manager supervises the planning and warehouse & internal logistics
organization of the site
• The role has the authority to coordinate EHS Management process with the use of all
resources assigned to the process
c. Economic data: (turnover – revenue – budget responsibility)
• The PW&IL manager has responsibility over the working budget of the warehouse and
internal logistics and contributes to minimizing the overall stock level of the sites. Wrong
decisions, errors or not optimal planning can cause high cost impact to the site in terms of
production loss, sales impact, etc…
d. Geographic scope:
• The PW&IL manager is based in Loyalist. He/she will occasionally need to travel to
abroad to gain know-how, find out new technology, inspect equipment to be imported or
cooperate with other RBM sites.

Qualifications

• Master or Bachelor degree in business engineering, supply chain or other, with minimal 5
years of experience in supply chain and warehousing management
Technical skills:
• Good knowledge of variety of (digital) systems & tools applied in supply chain
management
• Knowledge of the process and risk-based approach
• Knowledge of the requirements of ISO9001 and IATF16949 to the extent necessary to
manage the assigned process
• Experience in working in an intercultural environment
• Good knowledge of product and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of variety of systems & tools applied in operational excellence (lean 6 sigma,
VSM, TOC, TPM, 5S) and experience in implementing operational excellence at
