    Our team is growing, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Associate on a Permanent, full time basis.

    Our busy distribution warehouse located in Surrey, BC is the leader in the construction industry, a wholesale supplier of premium rain screens, building envelopes, insulation and specialty building products that work as a system to keep buildings protected, dry, durable and energy efficient. We are a service focused distributor who value integrity, team work, resourcefulness and fairness.

    What you need to know:

    This is a full-time , permanent employment opportunity
    Location: Surrey, BC
    Schedule: Monday-Friday
    Shift time: 8-4:30PM
    Wage: $22.00-$24.00
    You can meet the shift, schedule and job requirements
    Vehicle required as this site is not transit friendly
    You have previous experience in a like minded facility
    You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

    Responsibilities
    As the Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator, duties include but are not limited to:

    Pre-pick orders as they are received and/or assign and delegate as required. This includes late afternoon orders for the next day.
    Ensure orders are picked accurately
    Monitor to ensure orders are loaded in a timely and safe manner
    Create BOL's for drivers picking up and getting a signed copy for records
    Book freight for outbound shipments and review quotes to obtain the most cost-effective approach for shipments
    Update and follow shipping schedule strictly as orders may be updated for products, quantities or delivery dates
    Plan and create a shipping rate table through use of existing carriers and new carriers (will require some research)
    Schedule delivery times for incoming products
    Unload and count (or delegate) all products being received any discrepancies to be reported to Accounting and/or management in a timely fashion
    Check for damaged products and follow appropriate procedures for material with expiry dates (track receipt dates with manufacture dates; ensure reasonable expiry dates)
    Ensure warehouse is clean, swept, neat, tidy and in a orderly fashion at ALL times
    Maximize warehouse space and participate and provide input into space saving ways.
    Organize product lines in designated areas
    Keep shipping and receiving documents on file
    Participate in inventory counts and become the main proponent of counts (cycle counting, year-end counting, various counting as needed) who will be responsible for initiating, tracking and recording all count results
    Always find ways and be looking to be more efficient down the road (this may include coming up with best shipping, storage, and receiving practices, new equipment etc.) Attend, if applicable, warehousing seminars, classes, or schooling
    Store and Record Damaged inventory separate from regular stocked items
    Communicate with other departments on a daily basis
    Become familiar with our company software so that you may create reports that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of warehouse operations



    Qualifications
    The ideal candidate for this role will meet the following qualifications:

    Previous experience with forklift equipment in a warehouse setting (1 Year)
    Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude
    Ability to work in a high-paced environment
    Effective oral and written English communications skills
    Basic computer knowledge, including data entry and email
    Previous Sit-down Counterbalance Forklift and Pallet Jack experience, no ticket required
    Previous shipping and receiving experience, understand the role entirely
    Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
    Outstanding organization skills
    Valid Drivers License
    Steel Toed Shoes and a Face Mask will be mandatory on site
    You can meet schedule and shift requirements
    You are legally entitled to work in British Columbia, Canada
