    Our team is growing, we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Associate on a Permanent, full time basis.

    Our busy warehouse located in Surrey, BC is the leader in specialty and natural foods distribution to retails and vendors across North America. We are a service focused distributor who values integrity, team work and strives to provide an inclusive work environment that involves everyone and embraces the diverse talent of its employees.
    As the Warehouse Associate you will be stocking and organizing inventory, loading and unloading containers, general labor and maintaining the housekeeping and cleanliness of the warehouse. The position requires heavy lifting, and experience in a warehouse facility. This role is long-term and full-time and gives you an opportunity to work with an outstanding team, it is a fantastic opportunity!


    What you need to know:

    This is a full-time , permanent employment opportunity
    Location: Surrey, BC ( Port Kells)
    Schedule: Monday-Friday
    Shift time: 9:00AM-6:00PM
    Wage: $19.02/H (complete 520hrs bumped to $20.38 after 1040hrs bumped to $21.72)
    Union Position
    You are looking for a long term career opportunity, can meet the shift, schedule and job requirements
    Vehicle required as this site is not transit friendly
    You have previous experience in a like minded facility
    You are legally permitted to work Fulltime in British Columbia

    Responsibilities
    • Unload Containers
    • Periodic Picker duties are required
    • Cleaning Duties are required; sweeping, organizing
    • Repack in production build area as required
    • Other duties and special projects as requested
    • Ability to communicate well with internal customers and management.
    • Ability to efficiently work independent of direct supervision
    • Correctly inspect and maintain power equipment (if required)
    • You will maintain good attendance
    • Maintain safe work practices
    • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information
    • Putting away received materials in the proper storage locations



    Qualifications
    • Team player, adaptable, and energetic with a positive professional attitude
    • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, and are comfortable operating various types of machinery
    • Knowledge of safe lifting and handling techniques
    • Ability to carry, lift, move product/supplies in excess of 50lbs
    • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
    • You excel at communicating with professionalism in both verbal and written format
    • A minimum of one (1-2) years of previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse atmosphere, including receiving, pulling orders, packing and shipping preferred.
    • While performing the duties of this position, the associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is
    rarely exposed to outside weather conditions.
    • Have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
    • CSA approved steel toe boots
    • A reliable means of transportation is required
    • You can pass a background check and provide references
