A busy medium-size wholesale distribution company located in Delta BC is currently looking for a leader, Warehouse Manager to manage their operations.

Warehouse Manager Job Duties:
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with the data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Shifts: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM


Performance Reviews: These occur on an annual basis every May and the Manager will be responsible for conducting performance reviews for his/her team.

Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years Supervisory/Managerial experience
- Forklift (SDCB) experience, first aid, and dangerous goods certification an asset
- Must have experience in managing a midsized group with budgeting and cost containment
- Strong mathematical aptitude, previous budgeting experience is preferred
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Computer knowledge is required (asset with JD Edwards/Excel) and math skills
- Able to multi-task and coordinate team members
- Must be detail oriented and show initiative
- Passionate and takes pride in their job
- A great team player/motivator that leads and mentors a team
