Our reputable and growing client is looking for 2 Operations Supervisors with previous supervisory experience and "supervisor skills training" to join their Manufacturing Facility in Mississauga. The successful candidate will lead and coordinate activities of all production team members involved in the manufacturing of coffee. Ensure KPI's are met including safety, quality and efficiency, etc. There is a heavy focus on overseeing a quality inspection team of 26 people in addition to supervising a production crew of 3-10 people.

Hours of work:
12-hr continental starting on Friday night and ending Sunday night. 4 shifts in total.
Friday & Saturday Night Shifts: 11 PM to 11:30 AM
Saturday & Sunday Day Shifts: 11 AM to 11:30 PM

Pay Rate:
$28/hr

Essential Responsibilities / Specific Duties:
Develop manpower planning and utilization programs to satisfy planned requirements, including scheduling of overtime and the effectiveness of temporary employees.
Ensure safety standards being adhered
Perform safety inspections within their area of responsibility
Promptly investigates/ reports and follows through with any incident in area of responsibility
Perform safety, information talks with crews (monthly)
Establish and monitor procedures set in place for lines such as Work Instructions ensure and they are being adhered to. Ensure employees are trained
Monitor and evaluate designated machines, suggest and implement changes in work conditions to increase efficiency and safety
Coach workers in resolving manufacturing issues related to safety, quality, and productivity losses
Maintain good employee relations and adherence to company policies and procedures. Takes proper measures such as positive feedback and disciplinary action when required
Prepares all vacation and weekly shift schedules
Perform employee performance reviews on a regular basis
Review/Update job postings as needed
Interview job candidates
Conduct trials as requested
Coach and develop best practices
Participation in regular committee meetings
Perform other work related tasks as assigned

Knowledge & Key Competencies (list education requirements and special training / certification requirements here):
Strong communication, written and verbal skills
Basic mathematical and mechanical skills
Willing to learn and develop Manufacturing Best Practices
Able to work flexible hours
Ability to handle conflicts and provide resolutions
Understands right first time quality
Shows initiative, takes directions and executes plans efficiently
Must possess technical aptitude. Technical background an asset.
Some computer experience preferred
Demonstrate safe work habits and excellent work ethics
Accuracy and detail oriented
Work well independently and as a team member
Knowledge of SOPs – cleaning, start up, safety, operation, CQP
Strong Organizational skills
Strong Leadership skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and is able to time manage
Must successfully complete training on operating equipment
Numerous years working in a manufacturing setting
Knowledge of Health Safety & Environment, SQF Quality and Food Safety
