Responsibilities
Your responsibilities in this welder fitter role:
- Flux Core welding
- Fitting various parts
- welding HEAVY STRUCTURAL STEEL
- working with heavy gauge metals, up to two inches in thickness
- working with machine shop equipment: torches, cutters, grinders, saws, hand tools
Qualifications
- 2+ years welder fitter experience
- flux (FCAW) CWB tickets an asset (all positions ideal)
- If tickets expired, assistance to obtain these will be provided
- Looking for someone with HEAVY STRUCTURAL STEEL welding experience
- Construction industry welding experience preferred
- Familiar with heavy gauge metals, up to two inches in thickness
- Experience with other machine shop equipment: torches, cutters, grinders, saws, hand tools
- Able to use measuring tapes, and measuring tools
- 80% of the job will be welding, 20% assembly, fabrication, cutting, grinding, etc
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
