    Position: Welder Fitter

    Address: South Service & 403 (South Mississauga/Oakville)

    SHIFT:
    Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm (or 5am to 3:30pm)
    OT available on Friday's (after 40 hours!)

    Responsibilities
    • Reading & interpreting blueprint drawings & specifications to develop a plan to layout, fit and
    weld components
    • Following all CWB approved welding procedures for prepping and welding mild steel, stainless
    steel, and aluminum
    • Developing templates and other work aids to hold and align parts
    • Adequately prepping and inspecting all materials and welds
    • Using and maintaining tools, machinery, material-handling and safety equipment
    • Maintaining welding equipment & a clean workspace
    • Helping with assembling subcomponents and components

    Qualifications
    • Fitter-Welder Trade Certificate (437A) with experience in a manufacturing plant is an asset
    • Able to weld in all positions using GMAW, GTAW and FCAW
    • Bridge crane experience is an asset
    • Strong communication skills - Fluent in English
    • Ability to read AutoCAD and Inventor prints
    • Must work well independently and within a team environment
    • Ability to organize work under project deadline constraints
    • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making abilities
    • Able to lift up to 50lbs
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license
