Our client specializes in custom fabrication and manufacturing work across a variety of industries (including electronics, telecommunications, automation, renewable energy, and more), and are looking for a full time permanent welder supervisor to join the afternoon team.

Responsibilities
-Supervise and coordinate all welding related tasks and jobs by the afternoon team, ensuring quality work
-Supervise afternoon welders, providing training (in TIG/MIG techniques) to new welders
-Ensure the production line delivers high quality work
-Make decision and lead the team on project work, deciding best course of action for quality work accomplished on time
-Ensure all work and staff follow company and British Columbia health and safety standards. This includes performing daily site assessments, including identification of potential worksite hazards
Qualifications
Ability to work afternoon shift: 2:00pm to 10:00pm Monday - Friday
Minimum 2-3 years on a Supervisory, Lead Hand, or Foreman role, with problem solving skills
Must have knowledge of precision welding metal parts using MIG and TIG welding machines and techniques
Ability to read and work off shop drawings, with good mechanical Blueprint reading skills and mechanical aptitude to ensure projects are completed correctly
Ability to work weekends if needed.
Experience working with all types of metals – steel (stainless, satin, mild, etc), cooper, and aluminum.
Ability to drive a Forklift
Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
