Responsibilities
- Ensure all welds for carbon steel pipe are performed using the primary process Flux Core Arc Welding
(FCAW)
- Perform all stainless steel welds with Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process
- Torch and plasma cutting
- Ensure all welds are clean, grinded and inspected; repair welds if necessary
- Ensure welds are preformed 1G position with aid of fixture and rotating equipment (2 handed welding process)
Qualifications
- CWB or TSSA certified in FCAW (Flux Core Arc welding) for Carbon Steel and SMAW (Shield Metal Arc) for Carbon and Stainless Steel
- MIG welding (with aluminum) an asset
- Able to read drawings
- Able to safely operate hand and power tools
- 2-5 years of experience in pipe fabrication environment
