    The Welder will fabricate and bond metal together to produce a sub or complete assembly, utilizing gas welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagram or work order.     Advantages
    Salary: $21-$23
    •Overtime available, but not mandatory

    •AFTERNOON SHIFT 3:30PM-11PM
    MONDAY - FRIDAY

    • On the bus route
    Kitchen, food warmers, microwaves - Lockers dedicated, uniforms (Cintas)

    • In the summer it gets warm, as per welding facilities, have their yearly air quality and ventilation checks, they ae working on cleaner air - Coolers, popsicles, treats throughout the summer - And employees can walk away from the line when they feel hot

    Responsibilities
    As the MIG Welder you will be responsible for the following important job duties;

    - Weld and fit steel components to meet specifications
    - Lay out, position, align and fit steel components together
    - Operate and setup pneumatic and power tools for fabrication purposes
    - Read shop drawings and welding diagrams to determined product specifications
    - Inspect finished part and conduct rework (grinding, re-weld) as necessary
    - Follow quality control procedures
    - Practice and follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe workplace
    - Other duties as required

    Qualifications
    - 2 or more years experience with MIG welding in a production environment
    - Prior experience welding steel
    - Capable of reading blueprints and shop drawings
    - Previous experience with product re-work (grinding, r-e-welds. polishing)
    - CWB certification not required but an asset
    - Capable of lifting up to 50lbs and handling large parts by hand and with crane
    - Overhead crane experience an asset
    - Prior experience work in a busy manufacturing environment
