310T Mechanic

A major, fully integrated civil infrastructure and road-building contractor operating in the GTA is hiring a licensed 310T Service Technicians.
This is a dedicated mobile role responsible for troubleshooting and repairing breakdown emergencies across two main fleets: heavy civil construction machinery and winter response equipment (commercial snowplows/spreaders).

Responsibilities
Field & Shop Repairs: Execute roadside emergency service calls across the GTA and scheduled maintenance at the primary Etobicoke facility.

Diagnostics & Software: Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, transmissions, and hydraulics using CAT SIS and Jaltest diagnostic systems.

Hydraulics & Heavy Mechanical: Inspect, adjust, and overhaul hydraulic pumps, motors, safety valves, control blocks, cylinders, drivetrains, and final drives.

Dual-Fleet Scope:

Civil Machinery: Asphalt shuttle buggies, highway pavers, rollers, graders, excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, crushers, and heavy dump trucks (Freightliner, International).

Winter Equipment: Commercial highway snow plows, salt spreaders, sanders, and anti-icing systems.

Qualifications
License: Active 310T certification.

Driving Record: Valid driver's license with a clean abstract to operate the company service truck.

Experience: 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience working on heavy diesel trucks, civil equipment, or plows.

Field Readiness: Comfortable operating independently on roadside service calls across the GTA.

Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts during peak winter response events.

Availability: Flexible for day/night shifts, weekend work, and overtime call-outs during winter weather response.
