Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage daily BAU processing, focusing on the accurate handling of corporate actions and associated functions:
•Corporate Actions Processing: Be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, including asset set-up, tax implications, and book value adjustments.
•Data Entry & Investigation: Receive all corporate action notifications from the custody network, then examine and investigate them to ensure accurate and timely entry into the corporate action dashboard.
•Income Monitoring: Monitor coupon record changes and reconcile income received against custodian records.
•Exception Management: Proactively manage and resolve exceptions arising from settlement discrepancies and data feed issues.
•Stakeholder Communication: Ensure all affected clients and internal stakeholders are notified of corporate actions and their implications on a timely basis.
•Client Service & Relationship Management: Act as a direct contact to solve problems for clients and business partners, and cultivate working relationships to deliver optimal customer service.
•Process Improvement: Identify, recommend, and assist in implementing process controls and productivity improvements; routinely capture and update written procedures.
•Project Participation: Participate in projects, including identifying and executing test cases and communicating status updates to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
•Experience: 2–3 years of overall experience in Capital Markets Operations.
•Product Knowledge: Sound knowledge of the Fixed Income market and Asset Servicing.
•Specialized Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Corporate Actions, Coupon Processing, and Settlements.
•Operational Skills: Experience in Settlements, Clearing, and Servicing (2–3 years).
•Metrics Management: Proven ability to consistently meet defined SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).
•Technical: Advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite of software applications.
•Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills demonstrating a collaborative, team-player mentality.
Nice-to-Have Skills
•Advanced proficiency in Excel (VBA).
•Hands-on experience with financial data products such as Bloomberg or Reuters.
•Familiarity with depositories, including DTC (US depository) and CDS (Canadian depository).
