Responsibilities
●Lead a data governance program delivery stream, overseeing the implementation of Metadata Management, Data Quality, and Data Access & Sharing Management activities.
●Work collaboratively with business analysts, subject matter experts, and technology leads to bring priority datasets under governance.
●Define and document critical data elements (CDEs), business data quality rules, and existing data controls.
●Organize and support regular working group meetings to track project milestones, dependencies, and issues.
●Effectively manage relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including data role holders, users, and senior-level business and technology leads.
●Provide expert guidance to key business leads in the Capital Markets Front Office to support decision-making on data management priorities and issues.
●Act as a thought leader, defining the approach and strategy for a specific data management expertise area (e.g., DQ Automation, CDE Identification).
Qualifications
●Experience: 3-5 years of direct experience and deep knowledge of data quality, metadata, and data governance.
●Domain Expertise: Capital Markets experience is a mandatory and critical requirement.
●Stakeholder Management: Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders from various business and technology areas.
●Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of applicable jurisdictional and company-specific regulations, including BCBS239 (RDAR), Dodd Frank, EMIR, MiFID, and IIROC.
●Technical Skills:
○Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, specifically Jira and Confluence.
○Strong working experience with MS Office Suite, including expert-level Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and Visio.
●Soft Skills:
○Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, simple terms.
○Strong attention to detail and meticulous documentation skills.
