Responsibilities
• Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC Lathe Centers using Mazatrol, MasterCAM, G-code, and M-code.
• Select, install, and adjust tooling, fixtures, clamps, and work-holding devices daily.
• Prove out first-off parts and adjust programs or tooling to meet engineering drawings.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and GD&T standards.
• Perform in-process checks, monitor machine performance, and deburr completed components.
• Return tooling/fixtures to the tool room and maintain a safe, clean workstation.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC Lathe programming and setup.
• Proven experience with Mazak CNC lathes and Mazatrol controls.
• Technical diploma/certificate in CNC Machining or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and handle materials, tooling, and machine components.
• High commitment to workplace safety and precision workmanship.
• Expert programming and setup skills on Mazak CNC Lathes with Mazatrol controls.
• Working knowledge of MasterCAM, G-code, and M-code software.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, process sheets, and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and first-off inspection techniques.
• Practical knowledge of tooling, feeds, and speeds for aluminum and 4140 steel.
