Our Edmonton client is seeking a talented Data Analyst to join a high profile digital transformation initiative for an initial seven month contract with potential extensions up to twenty four months. In this role, you will work within a collaborative, cross-functional team to modernize how services are delivered to the public by utilizing human-centered design and agile methodologies. Responsibilities
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest and store large volumes of data in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Create and manage reports and dashboards using Power BI or other business intelligence tools to show performance metrics.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends and provide evidence for business strategies.
• Build dimensional models including star and snowflake schemas for data warehousing and analytics.
• Improve existing ETL processes and data workflows to ensure high data integrity and availability.
• Implement data governance and security best practices across all data storage solutions.
• Facilitate the delivery of service metrics while mentoring agile teams to improve their overall analytics fluency.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field of study.
• At least five years of experience working as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst with large, disconnected datasets.
• Minimum of three years of experience building visualizations in Power BI and designing dimensional models.
• Proven experience using SSIS and Azure Data Factory for integrating data across multiple platforms.
• Hands on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code to deploy data solutions.
