As a vital member of the Manufacturing & Logistics team, you will ensure the seamless flow of materials within the facility, directly supporting production efficiency. This Material Handler (Night Shift) role is critical for the continuous operation of our client’s manufacturing process. The position requires a licensed Forklift Operator who is highly organized and comfortable with inventory management tasks.
The compensation for this Material Handler (Night Shift) role is competitive, ranging from $21 to $25 per hour, commensurate with your relevant experience and qualifications.
This integral Material Handler position is dedicated to maintaining the operational efficiency of a high-volume manufacturing facility in Guelph. You will be working the night shift from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Sunday to Friday, making you an ideal candidate if you prefer a consistent evening schedule. Your core responsibility as a Forklift Operator is to manage the movement and organization of all parts and inventory, ensuring timely supply to production and managing the receiving process. Safety is paramount; strict adherence to all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations is non-negotiable. Responsibilities
• Ensure parts are moved to the proper locations within the facilities with efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist in the staging and kitting of jobs as required to support the manufacturing schedule.
• Co-ordinate the movement of inventory throughout the plants, managing internal logistics.
• Help maintain a neat, organized shop and yard, adhering to 5S principles.
• Perform the receiving of inventory as required, ensuring all documentation is processed correctly.
• Assist Shipping and Receiving in the loading and unloading of trucks when required
• Accurately receive and enter product into the Visual system.
• Follow all Occupational Health & Safety Regulations and Company Health & Safety Policies and Procedures without exception.
• Perform any additional duties as required by the Supervisor to support Manufacturing & Logistics operations.
Qualifications
• Completion of Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent.
• You have at least 3-5 years previous work-related experience as a Material Handler or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
• Mandatory valid and current forklift license with proven experience operating sit-down propane counterbalance and stand-up reach trucks.
• Valid driver's permit.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs manually.
• Willingness and ability to work the dedicated night shift schedule (11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Sunday to Friday).
