As a Forklift Operator in this fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment, you will play a critical role in the supply chain. Our recruiters are experts in the manufacturing and logistics field and understand the importance of matching talented drivers with top-tier employers. In this role, you will be responsible for moving raw materials and finished automotive components using a propane-powered counterbalance forklift. Because this is a manufacturing and logistics environment, precision and safety are our top priorities.
The automotive manufacturing industry in Guelph demands reliability and a strong work ethic. This Forklift Operator position features a rotating shift schedule (Days, Afternoons, and Nights) every two weeks, providing a comprehensive look at the manufacturing and logistics operations across all hours of production. You will be joining a team where your contributions as a Forklift Operator directly impact the production goals of a global leader in the automotive space.

Responsibilities
• Operate a propane counterbalance forklift safely within a busy automotive manufacturing plant.
• Load and unload trailers in the shipping and receiving department.
• Transport raw materials to production lines to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and logistics flow.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
• Use RF scanners to track inventory movement within the manufacturing and logistics system.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including wearing required PPE at all times.
• Stack and organize pallets in high-bay racking systems.
• Assist with manual lifting and general warehouse duties as required by the manufacturing and logistics team.
• Participate in a 2-week rotating shift schedule (Days/Afternoons/Nights).
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of consistent experience as a Forklift Operator.
• Valid external forklift certification (Counterbalance) is highly preferred.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule (2 weeks on Days, 2 weeks on Afternoons, 2 weeks on Nights).
• Successful completion of a practical driving assessment on-site.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to the Guelph facility.
• Physical ability to sit for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when necessary.
