Our Edmonton client is seeking a seasoned Management Consultant for an impactful 12-month contract to refine and evolve their organizational structure. In this role, you will analyze previous large-scale transformations, identify operational gaps, and design a strategic roadmap aligned with long-term institutional goals. Responsibilities
• Evaluate the effectiveness of previous transformations to identify what is working and where friction persists.
• Determine which original objectives were implemented as intended and address opportunities for further improvement.
• Identify critical support elements and future capabilities that were never fully addressed in past programs.
• Map current operational pain points in the interface between administrative units and academic units.
• Design a strategic roadmap that refines outcomes and aligns with current institutional priorities.
• Lead high-level discussions with leadership to ensure organizational evolution respects core institutional values.
• Develop a phased transition strategy to move from a stabilized state to a high-performance model.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a senior management consultant delivering strategic guidance on organizational transformation.
• Strong background in target operating model design and executing operational gap analyses.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-level stakeholder consultations with executive and senior leadership.
• Excellent data analysis skills used to evaluate program effectiveness and identify friction points.
• Prior experience working within higher education or a similarly complex public sector environment is highly desirable.
