What You'll Do
As a Material Handler, you'll be at the heart of operations, helping move and manage the materials that keep our mill running efficiently and safely.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operate industrial clamp trucks daily
- Safely unload inbound inventory from trailers using clamp trucks
- Load paper rolls into trailers and railcars with precision and care
- Perform routine pre- and post-operation inspections on equipment
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Use computerized systems to record inventory movements
- Organize products for production, distribution, and shipping
- Support teammates throughout the warehouse as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace through housekeeping duties
Your Strengths as a Material Handler
You are a strong fit for this role if you have:
- At least 1 year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment
- Clamp truck experience (preferred)
- The ability to stand, walk, and climb into and out of equipment throughout the shift
- The ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Flexibility to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
- A strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- The ability to adapt quickly and learn new processes
- Comfort working in varying weather and environmental conditions
