Responsibilities
- Systems Operation: Lead the setup, operation, and shutdown of twin-screw compounding extruders, compaction, and pulverizing equipment.
- Quality Control: Perform lab testing on raw and finished materials; immediately segregate any product that doesn't meet our gold standard.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve process issues to maintain a seamless flow in the production chain.
- Logistics & Support: Safely operate a forklift to move materials and assist with packaging lines and mixing equipment.
- Innovation: Collaborate with engineering teams on process development and automation for new products.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–3 years in a process-driven manufacturing environment (Plastics/Extrusion experience is a major asset).
- Technical Skill: Proven ability to set up and start sophisticated industrial machinery.
- Certification: Valid Forklift certification or significant professional experience.
- Education: Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
- Physical Readiness: Ability to stack 55 lb bags (up to 80/hour) and work in hot/dusty environments.
- Compliance: Must be clean-shaven for respirator fit testing and committed to a "safety first" culture.
- Flexibility: Ready to excel in a 24/7/365 operation on 12-hour rotating continental shifts.
