In this position, you will own the end-to-end design, development, maintenance, and execution of automated testing solutions for high-profile vehicle software products. You will apply advanced verification methodologies across complex vehicle network architectures and infotainment platforms. Working closely with internal software design teams as well as Tier 1 and Tier 2 external suppliers, you will integrate test pipelines into modern DevSecOps environments to ensure peak software quality, scale, and performance.

Responsibilities
1. Test Automation Architecture & Development
Design, build, scale, and maintain robust test automation frameworks and suites using advanced Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) methods.
Develop automated test scripts to thoroughly validate production software against detailed technical and functional requirements.
Create evolutionary Design Verification (DV) architectures featuring operational strength across scale, security, reliability, and functional performance.
2. Verification Strategy & Execution
Define, implement, and govern comprehensive test and automation strategies across multiple verification scopes and integration levels.
Validate high-profile infotainment features, electronic control unit communications, and underlying vehicle network architectures.
Perform root-cause analysis on software defects, collaborating with development squads to resolve issues efficiently.
3. CI/CD Pipeline & Agile Collaboration
Integrate automated test suites into software configuration management systems, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps workflows.
Lead Agile verification cadences, coordinating testing activities with internal design teams and external Tier 1/Tier 2 suppliers.
Promote modern software development practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Behavior-Driven Development (BDD), and pair programming techniques.
Qualifications
Core Experience & Education
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline. (Educational Credential Assessment [ECA] report showing Canadian equivalency required if degree was obtained outside Canada).
Verification Tenure: 8+ years of advanced professional experience in software/requirements verification projects across multiple integration levels.
Strategy Implementation: 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade test and automation strategies.
Technical Skillset Matrix
Programming Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design patterns.
Domain Depth: Solid understanding of vehicle network architectures and core infotainment system features.
Core Competency: Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end Test Automation.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
Extensive background in Requirements Engineering, Electrical Architecture, or Functional/Software Architectures.
Hands-on experience verifying functions across QNX and Android Automotive operating systems.
Practical familiarity with DevSecOps, continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD), and software observability tools.
Experience leading Agile testing workflows with internal groups and external supplier networks (Tier 1 / Tier 2).
Exposure to TDD, BDD, or pair programming practices.
